Obituary of Cheryl V. Stewart Ashe

Cheryl V. Stewart Ashe, Age 49, of Wilmington, DE passed away at her home on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Cheryl was born in Wilmington on May 16, 1958 to Charles Stewart, Sr. and Gloria Tate Stewart. She was president of the honor society and validictorian for PS Dupont High School, Class of 1976. Cheryl later attended the Wilmington School of Nursing. Dedicating over 3 years of combined service to the United States Air Force, Wilmington Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and royal Quality Nursing. She will always be remembered for her caring manner and gentle touch. Cheryl enjoyed cooking, traveling, arts and crafts, gardening and most of all being with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children Keisha Stewart, Steven Brown, II and stepdaughter, Latanya Ashe; parents Charles, Sr. and Gloria Stewart; brother, Charles (Squirt) Stewart, Jr. and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Isaac, Charlye, Mira, Jr., Stevie and Tariq; nephews, Jemarr and Lamarr; niece, Lantanya; longtime friends, Janet Burruss, Valerie Waters, William Ashe and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
