To the entire family,
Rita was such a phenomenal woman whose love of Christ and her family shined in her actions, her concern for others and her words. I admired her in many ways and enjoyed the times we spent in the years that our kids were at St. Pauls (long conversations about educational opportunities for our kids, basketball games, the Foster Grandparent Program... It is not often that we meet someone with such lovely qualities... God has an Angel. I just thank God that I had the opportunity to know her and I want you all to be strong knowing that you are all in our hearts and prayers.

Your Mother, Wife, was an Angel. I will miss talking to her about all my drama and I will miss seeing her at St. Joe's or on the corner of 32nd and Madison St., where she would give me advice and so much of her time. Dear Harmon-Jacobs Family,
When I got hired at DSCYF in 2003, I remember Rita greeting me with a big smile and encouraging words. She was always positive, full of laughter, always had a smile on her face and a patient listener when I needed to vent. Rita was truly a special person on earth and now an angel in heaven. My family would like to extend our prayers and blessings to all of you in this very difficult time and I hope you find comfort in knowing how much Rita will be missed.
