My Heart is Filled with Love and Peace
We can shed tears that you are gone
or we can smile because you have lived.
We can close our eyes and pray that you'll come back or we can open our eyes and see all you've left.
Our heart can be empty because we can't see you or we can be full of the love we've shared.
We can turn our back on tomorrow and live yesterday or we can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
We can remember you and only that you're gone or we can cherish your memory and let it live on.
We can cry and close our mind, be empty and turn our backs or we can do what you'd want: smile, open our eyes, love and go on.
We miss you, Granny, you will be forever remembered in the hearts of all of those who's lives you've touched. We love you. We will cry...but not with tears of sorrow, but with tears of joy. You've gone home now to be with your Father. I will hold a picture in my mind of your beautiful smile.
