Obituary of Glaster Moore
Age 69, of Wilmington, DE passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Regal Heights Healthcare. Glaster Moore was born on February 15, 1938 to the late Jordan and Story Bell Moore in Fountain, NC. He attended Fountain Elementary School. He was a member of the Reed Chapel Baptist Church in Fountain, NC, under the leadership of Reverend A. Lench. Glaster relocated to Wilmington, DE in 1967. Thirty-four years ago, he joined “Friends of Bill W.” and was very active and effective as a trusted servant. The “1212 Club” was his second home, safe haven and place of service. Mr. G., as he was affectionately called, was a man of few words that were very profound: “You don(TM)t have to live like you used to live” " “You never have to worry about the second one until the moment you take the first one; you(TM)re gonna take that second one whether you want to or not.” He will carry that same message even in Heaven, as he is joined in a meeting with Joe, Bobbie, James, Curtis, and Tom. Glaster loved children, ice cream, and most of all he loved his cell phone. Glaster was someone that always had a word to make you smile. Predeceased in death was his sister, Alice Marie Willoughby. Glaster leaves behind to celebrate his memory 2 sisters, Barbara Newton and Dora Moore; and 1 brother, Roy Lee Moore, all from Bridgeport, CT; 4 nieces and 2 nephews; a host of Bill W. friends who dearly loved him and who will miss him.
