Obituary of Jospeh Johnson
Joseph Johnson, 87, died on August 5, 2007, at Parkview Nursing Home in Wilmington, Delaware. He was born in Johnsontown, located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Robert and Anna Johnson on January 1, 1920. Joseph was a graduate of Howard High School where he learned the trade of Furniture refinishing and repairs. He worked in that field for some of the finest furniture stores in the city of Wilmington for 40 years. Joseph served in the capacity as Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. where he received a Purple Heart and several noteworthy accomplishments. Joseph leaves to mourn his current wife Lucy Johnson of Wilmington, DE. His eight children: Joanne Buford of Washington, DC, Anita Ward of Wilmington, DE, Yvonne Scott (Maurice) of Dover, DE, Elder Robert Johnson (Sharon) of Milwaukee, WI. Sheila Brown of Wilmington, DE., Gregory Johnson of Clinton, MD, Karen Johnson, Wilmington, DE and Linda S. Jones (Isaac, Sr) of Wilmington, De. One step daughter, Queen Easter Malik, Twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, four sister-in-Iaws and one brother- in-law, a host ofloving nieces, nephews and friends.
