Karen was born to Iris A. Chewning-Harmon and the late James Z. Dennis on August 11, 1952 in Baltimore, MD. She attended P.S. DuPont High School, however she earned her High School Diploma from James Grove. She attended technical schools Karen operated her own daycare and beauty salon in her home, a certified CNA, and worked as a receptionist. She leaves to cherish her memory to her beloved husband Jimmie Walker, 3 children Shannon Dennis, Carmella Smiley, Levon Thornton . Her mother Iris A. & Willard Harmon , 2 sisters, 4 brothers.
