I've known George since 1988 from Rodney Square Post Office. George was witty and quick to share a joke, but he had another side. He was very perceptive and wise about life. He was quick to lend a hand, an ear, or a piece of well timed advice as needed. George reached out and helped me with advice about making it through bad times when you're a good person and nothing is making a lot of sense. When I told him how much it meant for him to take his time to talk to me, he said, "Donald, you don't owe me a thing. What I want you to do is go out and help someone else who needs it. That's what it's all about." What a fine, wonderful man to be able to call a friend! He will live on through me every time I try to help someone. God bless you all in your loss.
