June, Larry, and Tiny,
I am so sorry for your loss. I so fondly recall many occasions around your mom when I was very young. In fact, I don't know if she told you (and I can't remember those days myself), but when I was just a toddler, I use to walk around tugging on her skirt. I have scars on my foot to remind me of those times, I always mentioned that to her whenever I saw her, and we would both laugh. (She was making lye soap and my tugging caused her to spill some on my foot.) So I also have a physical reminder of your mom as well as a spiritual one.
There are no words to take away the pain of losing a loved one; I can only wish you strength as you strive for inner harmony and redefine your relationships with family and friends. Trust me, the finality of death is an on-going struggle, and like me, I hope all of you continue the search for meaning with spiritual sustenance.
Love, Evelyn
