Obituary of Minister Annie M. Revelle

Minister Annie M. (Adams) Revelle was born in Arkansas City, Arkansas on October 21, 1947 to the late Samuel Adams and Armentha Glasco Ward. She was a loving and devoted wife of 38 years to Apostle Dr. Robert Revelle Sr., mother of Sharon and Apostle Robert Jr., daughter-in-law, Elder Ensa Revelle and grandmother of Ke-Asia, Mark, Robert III, Elias and Eniyah all of Wilmington, Delaware. She was one of eight siblings six of which preceded her in death, brothers; Hansel, Frankie, and Janell Ward; three sisters; Octavia and Julia Ward, and Ernestine Bell. She received her education from the public school system in Arkansas City, Wichita Kansas, and Wilmington Delaware. She graduated from Howard High School and attended courses at Delaware Technical Community College. She fulfilled her career aspirations in the medical field by using her God given gifts to encourage other people during their time of sickness and or bereavement. Minister Annie Revelle received the Lord at an early age at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Arkansas City, Arkansas. She later moved to Wichita Kansas and then to Wilmington Delaware where she continued to serve the Lord. She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Gregory, later she attended Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Lewis E. Johnson. Minister Revelle had a great prophetic anointing and she partnered with her husband in ministry. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, she joined her husband as he was called to Pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, now known as Mount Zion Greater Harvest Ministries Inti. She served many years on the Interdenominational Minister's Wives Association. She also served as Special Assistant to the Pastor, Overseer of the Women's Ministry, Deaconess, Missionary, Vacation Bible School teacher and with the Nurses Unit. Apostle Dr. Robert Revelle Sr. had the privilege of licensing his wife to preach the gospel on December 29, 2002. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 61:1-2. Hear my cry, oh God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the Earth willi cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelm: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.. Throughout the course of Minister Revelle's life,' she has been many places and experienced the outpouring of God's virtuous anointing particularly in Kenya, Africa, where God used her mightily in the gift of healing. Minister Revelle had a great love and compassion for people. She worked for 36 years at the Medical Center of Delaware/Christiana Care Help Services. Unforgettable memories will forever be cherished by her husband, Apostle Dr. Robert Revelle Sr.; her daughter, Sharon Revelle, her son, Apostle Robert Revelle Jr., daughter-in-law, Elder Ensa, five grandchildren; Ke-Asia, Mark, Robert III, Elias and Eniyah all of Wilmington, Delaware. One sister, Mildred Brown of Wichita, Kanas, three sisters-in-law; Laura Grice and Mary Sessoms of Detriot MI, Mamie Revelle of Wilmington Delaware, one brother in-law; Ronnie Revelle Sr., of Harrellsville, NC, a devoted Aunt - Ophelia Brown, a devoted niece - Shirley Chamblee of Wilmington and a very devoted friend - Apostle Mary Littlejohn of Sharon Hill, PA, in addition to a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
