Obituary of Pearl Sylvia Carty

Pearl S. Carty, daughter of Annabelle J. and George Ross Lockwood, was born May 8, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Mildford, DE. She passed from this earth on March 1, 2007, at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Pearl, a former graduate of Howard High School's Class of 1952, served in the United States Air Force. She attended Brown Technical School and Delaware Technical Community College and retired after 25+ years of registered nursing service from Christiana Care Hospital. Pearl leaves behind by her sister Edna Wright of Wilmington (DE); her former husband Irvin H. Carty, Jr. of Wilmington (DE); her children Beverly Moseley of New Castle (DE); Michael A. Carty (Andrea) of Wilmington (DE); Irvin H. Carty, III (Sieglinde) of EI Paso (TX); Maynard D. Carty (Elisabeth) of Gales Ferry (CT); Lewis P. Carty (Karen) of Wilmington (DE); Lisa Carty of Wilmington (DE); Joanna D. Carty of Wilmington (DE); and Valarie M. Carty of Alexandria (V A). She leaves behind eleven grandchildren and two great grandchilqren. Mrs. Carty was preceded in death by her daughter Wahnetah M. Carty of Clearwater (FL).
