Dear Cuz, You will be greatly missed. You will forever be apart of my fondest childhood memories. Growing up you were the sister I did not have. Many of my life milestones included you and I thank you for your continued love and support. God saw fit to call you hame and give you rest and peace. I know that your smile is lighting up heaven. To my family especially your son's my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love always Connie

My sister-friend Connie,
Mear words cannot express the sorry I feel in my heart. I can remember talking to you for the first time during our clinicals at school, when we decided we should become study partners, never realizing or expecting at that time that we would become lifelong friends. I watched you fight for several years with illness and bounce back with unbridled strength and determination time after time, But Gods knows whats best for us even if we dont ourselves, only he can say when the race is won. My prayers and thoughts are with your entire family in this time of sorrow, anxiety and uncertainity. You will always be in my heart, our friendship was and is very special to me. Love you my sister-friend.

Dear Patton-Batson Family,
Connie was a dear friend of mine, we graduated fron NCHS together in 1980, and we attended Del State our first year together. When I attended our class reunion last year I asked about her and did not know that she was ill. I pray that during this time of transition that God will wrap his arms of comfort and love around you during this time. I Thessalonians 4:17 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Connie fought so hard for the last year and a half, and this family has fought along side her the entire way. God has been your strength and your refuge - He will continue to be through these times as well. You all remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Connie,
Sunday, I spent the day with the boys and we had a good time sharing memories. We even looked at some pictures of us all together. There has not been a day that I haven't prayed to God to make you better because I know how hard you worked to become a nurse. My heart is heavy because you always found a way to keep us together. We had some good times that I will always cherish but i know now that you are no longer suffering. I know that my Mother and Big Daddy are smiling from ear to ear. I know that God must have a plan for you so until we meet again, R.I.P. Connie. God don't make mistakes, he saw you suffering and called you home.
Love always,
Samuel S. Batson SR.

Sissy,
What am I going to do without you? No more suffering and no more pain...I can't wait to hug you again. Words escape me right now, but I love you and I thank God for giving me you. Like the pillow said, chance made us sisters, God made us friends. Give Daddy big hugs and kisses for me, I know you both are grinning from ear to ear! Don't know when the tears will stop falling ...
