I was one of Marie's social workers during her long stay at Christiana Hospital and then also at Heartland Hospice. I am so glad that she was able to die at our house, in a beautiful room, after a day of ice cream. I found Marie to be an intelligent creative spirit who had the misfortune of so many, many illnesess and was a victim of horrible events and decisions--yet her true self always shone through. I send my sympathies to those who loved and cared for her. I hope that her wonderful energy is now freely blessing the universe and all of us left here on earth. Michele

I am just glad that I was able to encourage her faith in Jesus by bringing God's Word to her at times. Because Jesus raised Himself from the dead on the third day, as He said He would, by faith in Him, Marie has life eternal with her Savior-God. Thank Him for that!

Marie was my best friend and she will deeply be missed. My sister in Christ you have now been glorified in him.She walked with him in life and now in heaven. I will see her again one day in heaven.

Marie's strength of character during her illness will always be a source of inspiration for me. I will miss her childlike curiosity and loving way with others, but my hope is in Christ that I will see her again.
