Obituary of Charles Edward Butcher

Charles Edward Butcher, Sr. Was born on April 20, 1933 in Townsend, Delaware to the late Walter Brown and Arneda Butcher. Charles departed this life on September 26, 2006. Charles served his county as a member of the United States Army achieving the rank of Corporal. He was an entrepreneur in the business of restaurant and night clubs. Charles enjoyed shooting pool. He was preceded in death by his loving mother and step-father, James and Arneda Butcher Williams; father and stepmother, Walter and Hazel Brown; two sisters, Hortense Taylor, Helen Harrison; three brothers, George Brown, Lawrence Williams, Edgar Williams; son, Lynn Wilson. Charles leaves to cherish his memory; five sons, Tony Butcher, Kevin Butcher, Charles Butcher, Gary Butcher (Bridgette) and James Butler; six daughters, Terri Butcher, Pastor Sharon James, Eltheria Morris, Deborah Lawson, Charmetta Bayard and Shannon Shotwell; eight brothers, James Williams, Ronald Brown, Eugene Williams, Lawrence Brown, Herman Scott Brown, Pastor Calvin Brown (Bonita), Ellsworth Brown (Stephanie) and Walter Brown, Jr. ; ten sisters, Joan Daniels (Samuel), Marion Hinson (Edward), Sandra Haman, Barbara Berry (Lawrence), Phyllis Williams Reed, Dora Mae Faulkner, Regina robinson, Wafiyah Abdus Samad, Carolyn Brown, and Sharon Fields; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; sixteen great, great grandchildren; devoted friends, Soldier, Ella Gordy, Joe, Guy, Fifteen, Sylvia, Rick, Terry, Butter (Mike Aikens), Mr. Jackson, Andre and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
