Obituary of Lexie M. Wright-Hooks

Lexie M. Wright Hooks Age 80 went home to be with the LORD on Monday, August 21, 2006. She departed this life at St. Francis Hospital. Lexie was born in Bennetsville, South Carolina on April 9, 1926 to the late Charles Wright and the late Annie Bunch Wright. Lexie was formerly married to the late Howard H. Hooks. Lexie received her former education in Bennetsville, South Carolina. She was employed as a domestic worker for several prominent families throughout Delaware. She also worked as a nursing assistant. Lexie was an enthusiastic antique collector and she enjoyed reading her Bible. Lexie was extremely devoted to GOD and to her family. She is preceded in death by two sons, Paul W. Quick and Lamotte A. Young; daughter, Joyce A. Hooks. She is also preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers. Left to cherish Lexie�(TM)s memory are Gail P. Hooks, Denise D. Hooks Kurt, Desiree D. Hooks, Nikkiah T. Bevans and her husband, Maurice; grandchildren, Kym Lamotte Allen Wright and Alexis N. Proctor; great grandchildren, Shanese M. Joyce Bevans, Andranae D. Bevans and Maurice E. Bevans, III, all from Delaware. Lexie is also survived by one brother, Tanny Wright and one sister, Helen Green of Tallahassee, Florida; one sister-in-law, Lula Mae Wing and her husband, Ernest Wing.
