Obituary of Gregory Allen Duker

Gregory Allen Duker Known as “Duker” was born on July 8, 1962 to the late James E. Duker and Doris D. Smith. He departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Christiana Hospital at the age of 44. Greg received his education in the Appoquinimink School District. He was employed at Knott�(TM)s Bus Company as a driver and supervisor for several years. He was a devoted and dedicated member of the Christiana Fire Company for twenty-eight years. There he held and received many awards and recognitions. Greg was the owner and operator of Duker�(TM)s Lawn Service for he loved the beauty of nature. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, listening to country music, admiring his Chevy pick-up truck and hanging out with his other family at Station 6. Greg is preceded in death by his father, James E. Duker; sister, Deborah Hynson. Greg leaves to cherish his memories; his daughter, Amber Duker Shire; son, Ryan Duker; step-children, Joseph and Summer Brockway; Goddaughter, Ashley Petroulis; devoted companion, Lorie Williams; sisters, Shery Watson and Tracey Duker; God sister, Elaine Russell; six step sisters, Kim, Donna, Sharlene, Carla, Lisa Brady and Penny Parker; one step brother, Tommy Parker; one brother-in-law, Chris E. Watson, Sr.; six nephews, Chris Jr., Kevin, Kory and Tyrone Watson, Brandon and DeRon Duker; two nieces, Azaria Hynson and Kylana Payne; five great nieces, Elise, Elexis, Christa, Airyanah and Kyra Watson; one great nephew, Christopher E. Watson, III; devoted friends, Michael, Tammy and Alice Sartin, Leroy and Tammy Williams, the Knott�(TM)s Family and member of the Christiana Fire Company and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
