First, I would like to extend to Joe's family my deepest sympathy and condolences.
I have known Joe at work for 12 years and it has been my honor to have served along side him. I will miss his commanding presence and knowledge. On uncountable times he was there to back me and all the others who have known him here at work. He was always available for counsel, support and help when we would err in our duties. I learned a great deal from Joe and am saddened to realize that his counsel will no longer be available directly. However, I am sure that when put in certain circumstances I will think of him and ask for quiet guidance and a quiet response will come.
Again, to all of Joe's family, my sympathies. I will miss the "Colonel."
