Obituary of Mazie V. Watson

"Grandma" Mazie V. Watson Mazie V. Watson ent to be with the Lord on April 2, 2006. She was 84. Ms. Watson was born on April 18, 1921 in Smyrna, the daughter of the late Clarence James and Pauline "Taylor" Barrett. Ms. Watson was a graduate of the Thomas D. Clayton School in Smyrna. She then went on to retire from the State of Delaware in 1983 after 26 years of Service. Ms. Watson was a member of the Centennial United Methodist Church in Smyrna. Ms. Watson loved children very much and therefore was "Grandma" to many. In addition to her parents she was preceded idn death by a son Delancy c. Barrett, a sister Margaret Barrett, and a nephew Harvey Barrett, Jr. She is survived by two brothers Harvey Barrett, Sr. and his wife Marguerite of Harly, and John Barrett of Smyrna; a sister Marion Gountain and her husband Robert of Dover; a grandson Delancy C. Barrett, Jr. of Magnolia and his wife Mary; a great granddaughter Myra Thorpe; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special family.
